Welcome to my little place in blogger land. I always say I am going to keep this up better, but when you hear from me daily at Lori's blog, I figure you are probably sick of me. Hopefully not too much. You should have arrived here from Joy's place and your next stop will be Mendi. Click the link's below to follow all of the amazing talent.
Today we are focusing on different layouts in Lori Whitlock's shop. I chose to do mine digitally. I am just starting to move over to digital scrapbooking and can I tell you, I am LOVING it. No mess for one, and second, SO easy!
I chose to use the "Life Is Good" template found here. I love comparing then and now in my layouts, partially because my children are growing up so fast. This son of mine has never liked very flashy colors, so change the color scheme to better suit him, and include his favorite color, green. It would have been easy to add papers, but the pictures had so much to tell, I chose to let them stand out with the grey background.
After opening the template, I added photos, changed colors, and changed my title. I wanted it more personal so changed the working and used the font Helvetica, I believe. I really like how it turned out and so did my son. He got home from work as I was finishing and we had a chance to reminisce and laugh at some fun times. He will be 18 a week from today and this summer will be serving and LDS Mission for 2 years. I am excited for him as he moves on towards becoming an adult. Wether I am ready or not here he comes.
Thanks for stopping by, be sure to travel over to Mendi's and see her lovelies. When you are done hopping, be sure and leave a comment (what you liked best) at Lori Whitlock's blog and one lucky person will receive this $20 gift card to pick up your favorite shapes in her shop. Thanks for stopping by.

Lisa,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great manly layout! It's so nice to have something that can show the children growing and changing in just a few pages. I don't scrapbook much but every time I make a layout my kids, even my sons, love to see the final product and really enjoy the photos. I'm sure your son will appreciate this.
Super Hugs,
~Joy~
